Stage Mom Information for 2020 coming soon
Stage Moms needed.... this means YOU!

On the registration form, we asked for volunteers to be a “STAGE MOM” for our recitals. Our dancers do not sit in a room backstage- they sit in the auditorium to watch the recital. There are chaperones called “Stage Moms” assigned to each GROUP to assist with overall behavior as well as “bathroom runs” and costume changes. Stage moms sit with your dancer’s GROUP during the entire recital except when you are taking them to the stage to perform, helping with costume changes or taking them back to their seats in the auditorium. You will watch your group perform backstage.
There will be a “Stage Mom” meeting for all prior and new stage moms in May to announce new changes for this year and explain exactly what you need to do and answer any questions. At the meeting, you will be given your stage mom bag, backstage pass and any other important information. As a stage mom, you are the only parents allowed backstage, which is why you have a special backstage pass.
We have found that the following ratios work the best. For example, if we have a class of 7 PreK to K dancers, we like to have 3-4 stage moms.
· 2 to 1 ratio for PreK – 1st grade combo class
· 3 to 1 ratio for 1st - 2nd grade
· 4 to 1 ratio for 3rd- 4th grade
· 5 to 1 ratio for 5th – 7th grade
· 6 to 1 ratio for 8th – 10th grade
· 8 to 1 ratio for 11th grade and up.
This is especially true for the dancers who have costume changes. For groups of dancers who do not change costumes, we need less stage moms.
If you are interested in serving as a stage mom, please email Miss Val at LTRCMissVal@gmail.com or call/text her at 410-733-2188. Those who indicated interest on the registration form will be contacted in the coming months.
