Do I have to purchase tights?Yes, for the Dress Rehearsal and Recitals! ALL female dancers, PreK - Adults, must purchase CAPEZIO Ultra Soft FOOTED tights (color CARAMEL).
Thursday 8pm Lyrical, Company Production, DCE and Staff dancers may purchase CAPEZIO Ultra Soft CONVERTIBLE tights (Color ~ CARAMEL) instead. Any other specific costume / tight requirements will be communicated with the Dress Rehearsal / Recital info. Tights are available at Artistic Dance Fashions located in the back of Loch Raven Plaza. $2.00 coupons will be distributed in class, or you may tell Artistic that you are with Miss Val & LTRC Tap/Jazz and ask for the $2.00 coupon. |
How much do costumes cost?Costumes usually average between $65 and $80 per class (except PreK -1st grade RISING STAR classes, who receive two costumes ~ more info will be given to those parents on the first day of class). Jazz, Tap, Jazz/Hip-Hop, Lyrical and Hip-Hop costumes are more complex and cost more than a simple Ballet leotard with a tutu. We will do everything in our power to keep the costs down and keep the costumes in the range of $65 to $85 per class. You will be notified by the beginning of February of the balance due for costumes.
Beyond the cost of the regular costumes, an additional cost of $20.00-$40.00 will be required for all PreK through 4th grade dancers to cover the cost of part of the costume for KIDS Production. The total cost is $20.00-$40.00 no matter how many classes your dancer takes. The additional fee will not be due until February or March of the dance season. |
What if I can't pay on time?
Since costume companies have increased their processing times, we can no longer give any grace period in order to have costumes by our recitals. We must have the costume deposit(s) by November 1 or cannot order your dancer a costume(s). We suggest you pay the deposit(s) as soon as possible.
For a $20.00 late fee, you can take an additional 4 weeks to pay your outstanding balance. If you are taking advantage of the extension, you should NOT mail your payment.
In order for your dancer to participate in the recital, all outstanding balances must be RECEIVED (given to Instructor or Treasurer) no later than April 27, 2019.
NOTE: Any outstanding registration or costume money not postmarked or received by April 5, 2019 will be subject to the $20 late fee. We would rather not charge any late fees but are trying to be fair to those who paid on time. As with any business/program, we also have expenses that must be paid on time.
